Wedded Bliss
Hope that you are all ok, and getting ready for the warm summer weather. We have been getting ready for the past two months and it still hasn't arrived.Not even for yesterday's wedding of the century. There is concern in certain quarters that yesterday's rain will indirectly affect the tourism in Benidorm. The one day of the year when Scandinavian TV's are focussed on Madrid and it rains- not the best advert ( according to Spanish TV), especially since the weather was fantastic for the wedding in Copenhagen the previous week for the wedding there.
But anyway. Too be honest, not being Spanish, I am quite glad the whole thing is over because at least now we can return to the usual drivel that passes for TV programs instead of the wedding programmes which we've had for the past two weeks...
At least they won't have to pay people to remove the street decorations as people are taking bits of red carpet, etc home with them as souvenirs!
Dave update: Apparently, inspite of rumours, he will be staying here next season. He is said to have said that Posh will be coming to Madrid next year to live, but who knows (or cares for that matter!)
Another useless fact: In the last three years, Real have sold 20 players and bought 3. OK the three were quite good, but it doesn't really create a balanced team.
That's all for now. Only three weeks left teaching and then off on tour, and beyond that I don't know at the moment.
Do not fear though, there is little possibility of Man in Madrid being replaced by Man in Milton Keynes in the near future!!!
