Cultural divide

Sorry that the first volume of the new year has been such a long time in coming (I am sure not long enough for some of you!), but the fact is I have been busy. Well sort of...

Well, too busy to have time to fit in a much needed siesta (What a great invention that is) because I have been house hunting, for the fifth time in just under a year. And, if all goes well (We are signing the contract tomorrow) I should be moving in on Monday. The bad news (isn't there always?) is that it is on the fifth floor (or sixth floor, if you happen to be in North America!) and there is no lift (elevator!). Still maybe this way, I´ll at least get some much needed exercise...

Apart from that, life is the same. Went to the theatre (theater!!) the week before last to see a play (original I know!). It was actually very funny from a post-feminist-let's-attack-men viewpoint. It was all about what you would include in an instruction manual for men... I (think I) understood most of it. At least, I laughed with everyone else most of the time. Occasionally I was the only one laughing, which can mean a) I have a highly developed sense of humour or b) I missed the point!!

Speaking of humour the other we were watching Monty Python at school. I say we, but what I actually mean by that is the teachers were watching the TV and the students watching their teachers rolling about laughing, trying to work out the joke...

This parrot is dead...
